Easy Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Start Now

Easyways to Stop Procrastinating and Start Now I saw a post online that read “once I finish this project I am going to try to do something more with my art…my goal is to get noticed for something I’m really good at.” I thought YES go after what you want! I also thought what are you waiting for. Why not start now? This post is for people that want to make a change in their life, people who want to make a turnaround. This post is for people who are tired of sitting around dreaming. For those that truly want to get up and do something. I dare you to keep reading. This time next year you could be in the same place you are right now or you could be somewhere completely different. The choice is up to you! No pressure though. Who or what calendar says you have all the time in the world. If we want something we must get up and make it happen. There are many things you can do to start making positive changes.

Imaging what your success will look like. Dream about the things that you will do. Ask yourself how you will be successful? Envision your success, picture yourself living in that moment. Think about what things will be like for you imagine what it will look like, smell like, touch, taste and sound like? Create in your mind the idea of not only dreaming about your success but achieving your dream.

It’s great to dream about what you want, the key is making it happen. Part of starting to make positive change is doing the research. Think about the resources you will need to make this dream possible. Find out what resources are available to help you achieve your goal. Gather those resources and of course, use them. Resources such as community services, mentors, trainings, podcast, the library and the internet,

If you want to go somewhere you have to have a roadmap to get there. Create an action plan. This plan will included: action steps, responsibilities, deadlines, resources, potential barriers and results to look for. Be specific in what you are doing and use specific steps.

I know l already mentioned this, but it’s helpful to keep the finish product and intended results in mind. Continue to think about what it is you want. Remind yourself of why you are doing it and why it matters to you. Surround yourself with positive people and things. Use affirmations and listen to inspirational stories and more to help you.

Just like the next step reads start doing it!
  • Create a start date
  • Tell someone, to keep you accountable
  • Track your progress
  • Have a contingency plan, in case you start to slack
  • Believe in yourself
Your challenge -Step outside your comfort zone. Discover your strengths and improve your weaknesses. Try it, it may turn out better than you imaged. Go for it what are you waiting for?
