Welcome, you are nearing the next phase of completing the requirements to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. Your supervision internship experience is the next step to obtaining your professional license. It’s the beginning of your professional counseling career. It will be a life-changing experience. I am here to help and support you in your journey. 

My supervision approach 

I am a board-approved Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, recognized by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. I am very happy to offer dynamic clinical supervision to counselors in their Licensed Professional Counselor Internship (LPC-Associate) journey. My approach is to help empower professionals in the field of mental health to become amazing counselors. I help develop counselors who will help transform lives and the communities around them. As a supervisor, I provide many wonderful learning and training opportunities. I have worked hard to create a positive learning environment for counselors in training will truly flourish. It’s a safe and comfortable opportunity to learn, explore, and challenge yourself and the freedom to process the many shades of the professional counseling experience. 

Helping counselors launch their professional counseling careers with true confidence and excellent counseling skills, is what I do.

I teach you the stuff grad school doesn’t teach you. I help you become the best counselor you are created to be in serving your community. You will be cheered, challenged, and trained to be the best counselor version of yourself. Receive genuineness, and guidance to help transform your clinical skills from your college practicum days to a full-fledged professional counselor.

What I’m looking for in an LPC Associate

  • I only work with the best people! The Associates I work with are the best. I’m just saying. 
  • Strong adherence and respect for following the ethical and moral standards for professional counseling. Please know your Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors Code of Ethics. You will find them here: Also, be aware of the American Counseling Association Code of Ethics. Become familiar with the Ethical Decision Making Model.
  • An Associate who is committed to helping individuals and the counseling profession.
  • Someone who is responsible, and passionate about the counseling profession.
  • Associates who are organized have effective time management skills and are willing to learn and grow.
  • A person who is respectful of the supervisor-supervisee relationship.

Location of supervision

Supervision is done virtually, in a secure portal.

Fee for supervision 

  • At this time I am not accepting any new LPC Associates. The rate is not listed at this time.

State of Texas LPC Associate process

  • Masters or Ph.D. in counseling or psychology and completed all coursework and practicum as required by Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. (BHEC)
  • Passed the National Counseling Exam (NCE). 
  • Interview potential supervisors. Complete a supervision contract form that both parties must sign.
  • Apply for LPC Licensure (also known as the temporary license). All LPC Associate documents are to be sent to the BHEC. Your application processing time is determined by the BHEC.
  • An Associate must obtain 3,000 total clock hours while under supervision, and 1500 hours must be direct client contact during a minimum of 18 months.
  • Maintain accurate records of logged hours, supervised hours, and supervision notes.

Supervision is based on the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council’s established guidelines that are designed to assist Associates in becoming highly competent and ethical practitioners.
